After You Pass Your Driving Test

Pass Plus is a Driving Standards Agency backed scheme designed to give extra experience to new drivers.

Discount on your insurance

New drivers are more likely to have an accident during their first year after passing their test than at any other time. The Pass Plus scheme is so effective at reducing this risk that many insurers will give you a substantial discount on your first year's car insurance if you have done the Pass Plus course.

The Pass Plus course comprises six training sessions covering the extra skills you need to drive safely in the following conditions:

In town
Out of town
In all weather
At night
On dual carriageways
On motorways

Pass Plus is assessed by your driving instructor, so there are no tests to take. Once you have satisfactorily completed the course you will be awarded a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency which you can show to your insurer.
